People / People & HR Operations

Know who is here. Keep the right details in the right place.

Bring your employee roster up to date, keep private HR information separate, and publish the time-off and review-cycle guidance employees need. Manage workspace invitations and trace administrative changes without confusing a directory record with sign-in access.

A roster you can work from

Keep people data useful without flattening it into one list.

The staff directory, private HR record, and access to Zipplee have different jobs. People & HR Operations keeps those boundaries clear.

Import with an impact preview

Bring in an Excel or CSV census, map its columns, and review who would be added, updated, skipped, or deactivated before you commit the import. The optional missing-person check applies to people from earlier imports; manually added people remain untouched.

Maintain the directory

Add or edit a person’s name, role, team, manager, contact details, photo, and active status. Search the roster by name, title, team, email, or phone so colleagues can find the right person.

Separate private HR details

Keep sensitive employee information in its own restricted record rather than displaying it in the directory. Owner and admin access controls protect those fields.

Control access separately

A roster entry is not a workspace invitation. Use Invite & access to bring in a guest or team member, set an end date, and remove access early when needed.

Employee-facing HR guidance

Put the policy people need where they already work.

These settings describe company-wide guidance. Your team can review it before making it visible in the employee experience.

Time Off

Set the published PTO balance, carryover, sick-time guidance, accrual description, holidays, and how to request leave. Preview the information, save your changes, then choose when to publish it to employees.

Performance

Explain the review cycle, what is coming up next, goals, and supporting notes. Preview and publish the guidance so employees can find the same current information.

Invitations with limits

Choose guest or member access and a defined expiration when inviting collaborators. The invitee sets their own password; the roster and access list remain separate.

Administrative history

Use the HR Audit Log to search and filter recorded activity, then export the visible results when you need a follow-up record.

An example in practice

Bring a roster current, then put guidance in reach.

A practical sequence for an HR team preparing its employee experience.

  1. Check the census before importing

Map the spreadsheet columns and inspect the proposed additions, updates, and deactivations. Nothing is written until the team confirms the import.

  2. Review each kind of record

Correct directory details and keep restricted HR fields in their private area. Give workspace access through a separate invitation only when it is needed.

  3. Publish clear HR guidance

Update Time Off and Performance settings, preview the employee view, and publish the approved information when it is ready.

The result

What you take away.

A reliable directory, restricted HR records, deliberate access, and employee-facing policy guidance that your team can preview before publication.
